After reading reviews on many PH meters, I settled on this one. Well, for the price, I suppose its OK. I got this meter to check the status of my personal PH levels as I change my diet to 70/30 alkaline/acidic mix. This meter was calibrated right out of the box, but I did confirm it with the calibration kit. What I was disturbed about was the weak LCD display, and the controls required excessive effort to negotiate. On the latter point, I suppose this was done to make the item waterproof. If this were an everyday use item, I would probably rate this item even lower.

This is a quality device and needs regular maintenance.
Buy the calibrating solution and use it!
The company is very customer friendly and use them if you need help.
I couldn't find a better one.

have had it for almost 6 months now and it works oh so perfect and i have yet to re calibrate it. because the readings are on perfect and consistent . my first ph tester but i would definitely buy this brand again. water and idiot proof . i Use it for bringing down the acidity of miami water for my fish and my plants
